Helen Keller was once in deep despair in her childhood, but finally she decided to overcome her physical defects and live happily. Furthermore, she showed great patience in her long and hard learning period. I have learned, above all, three lessons from her story. First, she taught me that often the road to success is to face hardships unflinchingly. Maybe you are born under an ill star yet you can stand a better chance than others. It is therefore important that you screw up your courage when courage is needed. Second, the impairment of part of her senses did not prevent her from learning: on the contrary, she had made continual efforts to go deeper into the realm of knowledge her fortitude had thus helped her overcome many handicaps. Third, she advised that we should make the most of our sense-organs as if we would lose them soon because this way we would observe the world more carefully than ever before. The book is inspiring in that it is one brimming over with the unbending will of a gallant woman beset with seemingly insurmountable difficulties. I hope I can be as courageous as she.

but now, things are different. todays university students usually have much pressure in finding fairly good jobs. they always say disappointedly that graduation means joblessness. why nowadays university students have so much pressure in finding jobs? in my opinion, this kind of pressure is mainly caused by three reasons. firstly, the government is enrolling more and more university students year by year. and the growth of the students number has surpassed that of the need of the society. so, when so many students graduate at a time, the chance of finding jobs becomes tiny. secondly, todays university students, most of them are the "only-child", who are more mentally frail. since they are indulged greatly at home and havent been trained to do things on their own, once it is their turn to go out of the campus and find jobs by themselves and decide what kind of jobs to choose, they feel bewildered and dont know what to do. if their first try fails, they will be frustrated and think that it is really hard to find jobs.
thirdly, some university students are not qualified for good and challenging jobs. after entering the university, they dont study as hard as they did in high schools. they begin to sleep during the class or even be absent for classes. some are addicted to computer games or jin yongs novels, or step into the two-person-world too early. because these things have taken up so much of their time and energy, their study is neglected. after four years of university life, they havent gained the knowledge those fairly good jobs or certain positions require.
this situation can be changed. the government may decrease the growth of enrolling university students gradually. and the university students can join in some etracurricular activities on campus to train their abilities of doing things independently and try to do some part-time jobs during weekends and vacations to gain more social eperience. whats more, students should attach greatest importance to their study, not anything else. they should study harder and try to master the methods of how to put the knowledge they have learned into practice so as to be qualified for the jobs they desire.

I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling! Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the claassmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training.
