四、教學過程
1、Warm-up
(1)教師采用開火車的形式復習已學的單詞。將單詞打亂順序貼于黑板上，請學生猜是哪個單詞，猜對的同學做這個動作其他同學齊聲說這個單詞，you are right.
2、Presentation and practice Lets learn
(1)教師出示大小、重輕分明的'圖片，讓學生分辨，問Which dog is heavy ?用中文稍做解釋，引導學生回答The yellow one .然后教師The yellow one is heavier than the brown one .范讀單詞heavier，學生跟讀。
(2)教學單詞heavier，開火車合拼單詞,小組比賽快速熟練的拼讀。幫助學生用heavy改“y”為“i”+er來記憶。簡單介紹形容詞的比較級第二種情況是以輔音字母加“Y”結尾的，要改“y”為“i”+er。
(3)教師用同樣的方法教學其他四個四會單詞thinner longer bigger smaller
(4)簡單介紹形容詞的比較級第三種情況是以重讀閉音節加一個輔音字母結尾的，要雙寫這個輔音字母再加“er”。
(5)將五張單詞卡放在一起請學生認讀。男女比賽誰讀錯或不會讀將扣去相應男女組的分數。
(6)完成Lets play.

(1)做本單元A Lets learn部分的活動手冊配套練習。

1.能夠正確聽，說，朗讀“Who is …? He/She is…What’s he/she like? He/She is … Is he/she…?Yes,he/she is. No, he/she isn’t.”等詢問某人是誰，外貌或性格怎么樣的相關交際用語。
2.能夠正確聽，說，認讀表示人物外貌和性格特征的形容詞old,young,funny,kind,strict等詞匯。
3.能夠聽懂，會說，會表演let’s learn的內容并在真實場景中運用所學語言進行真實交流和運用。

（一）Preparation
1.唱一唱：
放課本P54unit4的歌曲“What are you doing?”的錄音，學生跟唱。
設計意圖：活躍課堂氣氛，讓學生在歌曲中重新熟悉所學句型。
2.游戲：你能說出多少
全班學生分成幾個組，每組選出一名學生扮演秘書。教師可向學生展示一些動詞或動詞短語的ing形式，給每個小組三至四分鐘記憶。各小組憑記憶盡可能多得列出看到的動詞短語，由每組的秘書負責紀錄。然后，讓各個小組輪流讀出他們寫出的短語并把單詞寫在黑板上。寫出短語最多的小組獲勝。
3.活動：做一做
教師拿出準備好的四、五單元中所出現的一些動詞的單詞卡片，讓學生隨意抽出一張，然后根據卡片內容做出相應動作。師提問：“What’s he/she doing?”，請其他同學用“He/She is ”回答，如果該同學說的句子正確，則做動作的同學說“Yes,I am ”，反之則說“No,I am not. ”
設計意圖：檢查學生掌握，認讀，理解單詞的情況，讓學生在活動中復習現在進行時的句子，避免枯燥性，提高學生的學習興趣。
4.出示個別人、物圖：師提問：“What’s he/she doing? What are they doing?”讓學生看圖，回答問題。然后同桌二人做對話練習。
設計意圖：通過復習以前所學的知識，由單詞過渡到完整句子，對人、物正在做什么的句型進行操練。
（二）Presentation/Practice
1.出示Read and match的短文，聽音，跟讀。
2.第一遍后請同學說說看到了什么，同學之間可以互相幫助，對于說對的同學教師應及時給予表揚。
3.第二遍后請同學互相補充第一遍中沒有說出或說對的句子。
4.第三遍請每位同學跟讀聽到的句子。
5.播放Read and match的錄音，看對話跟讀。
6.學生大聲自由讀短文。
7.看圖，合上書，試著描述講解內容：The dog is…….
8.請學生分別扮演Zoom和Zip，分角色朗讀，然后請學生戴頭飾表演故事。
9.根據描述內容，做連線練習。
設計意圖：練習某人正在做某事的句子，通過這一活動使每一位同學精力高度集中，都能參與到課堂教學中來。逐步培養學生良好的英語學習習慣，并逐步提高對學生的要求，能用書上的話或自己的話表達故事內容，逐漸脫離課本對自己的束縛。
（三）Production
Lets find out
（1）教師出示Let’s find out中的三幅圖，請學生用語言對它們進行簡單的描述。
（2）教師也可以自由提問：如What is the panda doing? Can the panda swim? Do you love pandas?等等，讓學生靈活回答。
（3）教師放本部分的錄音，看課件，請學生選出每句話所說的是哪幅圖。
（4）兩人一組讀讀對話。
設計意圖：培養學生說英語的習慣。
Lets chant
（1）播放Let’s chant的錄音，先聽一遍。學生看圖，猜猜歌謠大意。
（2）再聽一遍，每句后停頓，生跟讀，師可以適當講解句意。
（3）再放錄音，要求學生有節奏地說唱歌謠。
設計意圖：適當放松學生的緊張情緒，讓其保持良好的學習心態。
（四）Progress
1.完成基礎訓練中的配套練習。
2.小結
（1）表示某人正在做某事時，動詞后加ing表示。

1.復習。教師拿出小飛機模型(或小風箏等東西)，與學生練習對話。對話模仿第71課課文內容。

人稱代詞賓格，在句中作賓語。例如：
1)Please help her.請幫她一下。
