【教具準備】
Let’s talk (B)部分的課件和錄音。
教學前一天的世界城市天氣預報錄像。
單詞卡片：sunny、rainy、windy、snowy、cloudy、cool、warm、hot、cold。
Let’s check的錄音。
【教學過程】
（一）熱身、復習 (Warm-up/Revision)
1、學生唱歌曲“Thunder”；說唱Let’s chant部分歌謠。
2、啟發學生將歌謠中的warm、hot、cool、cold根據后一句話的內容替換為：sunny、windy、snowy、cloudy。改編兒歌。
3、教師播放世界城市天氣預報的錄像，然后提問：What’s the weather like in …?
學生根據實際內容回答It is…
(學生既可以從氣溫的角度回答,也可從氣候特征的角度回答，此項活動主要是鞏固What’s the weather like in …?的功能結構。)
（二）呈現新課 （Presentation）
教師提問：What’s the weather like in New York?(同時將錄像內容定在New York的界面)
學生根據實際來回答。
教師領讀：New York，注意學生的發音不要受漢語紐約的干擾，適時糾正。
教師繼續將錄像界面定在某一城市，問：How about…? 引導學生根據實際來回答。
反復利用3-5個城市操練How about，讓學生在問答中理解How about…?的功能。
請學生觀看課件，初步理解對話的意思。
教師提問：What’s the weather like in Beijing ?
學生回答：It’s rainy.
教師提問：How about New York?
學生回答：It’s sunny.
What are you doing? Not much.
教師領讀；解釋意思。
機械性問答操練（接力問答）。
What’s the matter? I have to close the window.的含義。
教師啟發學生根據Oh，no！My pictures！說說What’s the matter?的意思；根據It’s windy now. 說說have to 的含義. (如果學生始終不能正確理解語句的含義，教師進行講解。)
告訴學生have to是表達由于客觀原因不得不要做的事并舉例：It’s rainy. I have to stay at home. It’s rainy. I have to put on my raincoat ….然后讓學生用I have to說說自己生活中不得不做的事。
學生跟錄音讀對話，注意課文中首次出現語言的語音語調，注意準確模仿。
學生兩人一組分角色讀對話，教師及時進行評價。
教師再次播放世界城市天氣預報的錄像，學生編對話。
A：What’s the weather like in …?
B：It’s … How about…?
A：It’s …
(三) Let’s check
教師播放三次錄音：第一遍讓學生先聽錄音，第二遍勾出與錄音內容相符的一項，第三遍檢查。錄音內容如下：
In Beijing it’s sunny and warm. I go out and fly a kite.
In Harbin it is cold, it’s snowy. I read a story.
It is hot in Shenzhen. I go swimming.
In Macao it is rainy. I watch TV in my room.
（四）趣味操練 (Practice)
教師將單詞卡片sunny、rainy、windy、snowy、cloudy、cool、warm、hot、cold貼在黑板上，將城市名：Beijing Harbin Lhasa Hong kong Moscow Singapore Sydney London Tianjin豎排寫在黑板上。一個同學說句子It is…in…，另一個同學根據句子內容將天氣單詞的卡片貼到相應的城市后面。
（五）擴展性活動(Add-activities)
完成本單元B Let’s talk的活動手冊配套練習。
給同學、朋友打電話用What’s the weather like？詢問當地天氣情況。
今天晚上在家聽我國城市天氣預報，完成教材P52的表格。
